Goodwood Revival
We were up bright and early for our day out at the Goodwood Revivial. We stepped back in time and enjoyed the air displays, the motor racing, the dancing and drinking!
During the Second World War the Goodwood Motor Circuit was home to several spitfire squadrons and was a key Battle of Britain airfield.
This is a fantastic excuse to dress up in vintage fashion of the 1940s, 50s, 60s. I chose a 1950’s outfit with a waist so nipped I could hardly breathe. You can have your hair and make-up done from the lovely ladies at Betty’s. You can enjoy the fun at the Butlins roller disco, or watch the riders on the Wall of Death!
Our favourite place is sitting in the deck chairs near the airfield and enjoying a Pimms listening to the big band of a bygone era and lifting our eyes to the sky as the Hurricanes and Spitfires fly overhead. Booked my tickets for next year already.
